Luke & Rik, I have not seen Billy to ask him about the Idol, but I should see him this week. I'll do my best. I'm really gonna stress the historic significance of this show. Wish me luck!

I've talked to Billy a couple of times and the big issue is $$$. So the more people that work on him the better. He just spent a bunch doing an apartment for his 95 year old mother and let's face it, speed shops are exactly raking in the dough these days.

Anyone got some connections with a car hauler that could start in Mass, and then hit Jersey and Kurt's place on the way to Pomona?

I think this is right up there with the more influential cars of the kustom world. The chop on that car is what made a lot of chops look the way they do, agree or disagree??[/QUOTE]
I agree weesners shoebox is a inspiration to many who want to and do chop shoeboxes. The over all styling is amazing. It would be great to see it in the show

I would just like to throw out to Axle, Rik Hoving, and Jeff Neppl a GIANT thank you for having the vision to make this show happen, and for having the tenacity to pull it all together. What a hugh effort to deal with cars scattered all over the country, personalities all over the map, and opinions to match. This show is going to be awesome and a once in a lifetime historic event. Keep the updates coming and, again THANK YOU!!

  7. Thank you Sr, for acknowledging the amount of work and time that has been put into this. We are working on some good pieces of history right now that can hopefully be at the show.

axle is a real class act. this goes to all those that are involved as well.
all the painstaking hours that go into an event like this must be agonizing,
to say the least. we are all very lucky to have people that are willing to go
the extra 10,000 miles to put something like this together for our enjoyment.
some of us have never seen many of these cars other than in books, and now
to have them under one roof, well thats nothing short of truly amazing, i would
personally like to say thank you alex for all that you do for our community,
for without people like you... the true history of our culture could be lost for
    good.

Gents, Does anyone know the whereabouts of the Pierson Bros 36 three window? I respectfully suggest that if it exists it be placed amongst the rest of the stunning beauties . What scrapmetal said, keep giving it to us axle-rik-jeff. It is much appreciated. Cheers,Roger

Sorry, guys. The Jade Idol is definitely not gonna make it. Billy said he'd love to go, but financially, it's just not gonna happen. If you're ever in Boston, swing by his shop. I'm sure he'll give you the 50 cent tour.

    Thanks alot 56KUSTOM.

  21. A preacher ? Well I dont know if that was a compliment or not but I think it was . ;) I guess I probably could be since I am very passionate about this stuff. Cal Paul ,I love your car man very Very nice ! Really dig that car.

  22. Axle, The 'My Blue Heaven" sectioned 59 Ford is in the Tacoma area and is in really nice condition. It was at my show(Hotrod-A-Rama) a few years back and was in excellent condition. I might be able to get info on it for you. Would make a great addition to this show in my opinion. I am planning to attend this event for sure. This will be just as cool as the 75th anniverery of the 32(Maybe better) I have a custom in my future for sure. Great job.

Rikster, Love your influence here. Will you have some of your colorized prints like you had in Rodder's Journal available for sale? Will Rodder's Journal do a special addition for this show like they have done in the past? Love to have a copy of that if they did. Keep pluggin' away guys. Your hard work will pay off for sure. Speaking of meeting at the show...unless I missed it in all these posts, I haven't seen any mention of a HAMB meet & greet. Sounds like there's sure a lot of us going....anything planned yet?

The Car is still around... but its not a custom car anymore. So Even though it used to be a fantastic custom car I dont think it will fit in this exhibit the way it looks now.

(I hope this photo will show... I`m on a road trip and have to use a very tiny PC instead of my trusty MAC at home)

This car is also still around, and was suposed to be restored to how it used to look when Ray had it.
The car was raced with and had the rear fender wheel openings cut open.
I have not heard any updates on the restoration on this car for a long time... ALso I have no idea who owns it.

Pat Ganahl took this photo of teh car before its restoration has started. I have not seen any photos of it after this.

The real hood sides from the Pierson '36 are on Jon Fisher's '36. They're aftermarket solid hood sides that were louvered later. (There's pics of the car before and after the louvers.) It went to a good home, but it's sad the Pierson car isn't restored.

    * To all those who have been asked to have their car in this display*

Please fill out your special Invite/Application ,submit a couple of photo's of your car, then kindly send everything to us as soon as you can. It will be much appreciated and relieve us of a lot of work load - instead of receiving everything in January.

Thanks very much, John Buck & Axle
