Thanks for the graet pics twotall. It was a good day found out that the stripes were done by King Dave, I got the name of a guy that knows the hole story on the car.
What I know is that the car came from Missouri in 1958 to the Tulsa area and was painted in 59 or 60 all the time being raced with an olds plant in it and in 61 had a carb fire he got burned, GOT PISSED pulled engine and it has not seen the light of day till two months ago.

What a great find a neat piece of history . The burnt paint on the hood indicates a carb fire. Thanks for sharing.

Were they still striping the LR fender when the fire started?

Looks really solid. Chevy's from the 30s are getting pretty rare. Can't wait to see it running again.

I am looking for an Olds to go back in it, I have to find one with a good trany though because they want 1,200.00 to build one around here. I do want to keep as close as i can to the way it was.

  16. Check the Kansas City Craigslist. I don't know what vintage you are looking for, nor do I know much about Olds motors but there is a 394? with tranny and tri-power for less than a grand. You are probably looking for a 303? though huh?

I found the link. It's been on there for a while. I should buy it just to buy it but I'm running out of room!

What a great story! What a great find! What a great '32 Chevy sedan! You've found a real gem! Putting it back the way it was wud be awesome. The 303 and 324 Olds engines were from 49-56. The 371 and 394 Olds engines were from 57-64. Adapters are available to bolt them to any Chevy automatic, but it will run you around a grand. Best of luck with your project. Please keep us all informed of your progress.

I think i just got wood.

Slap a 303 to a 394 in it with 3 deuces (or you could find an early 283 and build up a 301), bolt up a turbo 400, sand and throw a little black primer on the burned side of the hood and drive the piss outta that thing.

If I lived where you do and had that car the 394 would already be sitting on the floor being measured for motor mouts. That's a '57 vintage engine, very traditional, and comes with enough torque to kick some serious ass whe installed in a light chassis like you've got.

What a sweet little Chevy, looks like it was stored right and is in nice condition. My pal has a 32 Chevy coupe that is a back burner car, have grown fond of its cool shape. Good luck with rollin this baby down the street, should be a blast. ~Sololobo~

I did not realize that the 394 went back to 57 I have not done my homework yet the guy has it posted as a 64.
Yes the guy did some smart stuff when he stopped driving the car, there some slimmy shit on the seats, I don't know if it was saddle soap or what but it came right off and the seats are as soft as if they were done yesterday, and there was wax residue all over it like he just waxed it,and you could tell he had something taped over the car.

Had to be one of the most talked about cars of the weekend. Considering the quality of
kool at the Hot rod Garage open house. What a statement that I just made. Very Kool
Sedan and I know that you got tired of saying " no, its not for sale."

If ya get the chance you need to check out his sedan in person. The King Dave art work
    is killer......

Thanks guys for your kind words. I really did not think there would be the response that there was. I love it, it's the coolest thing I have ever found. I was just wanting to pick some brains and find someone that knows the car so I could put some history and names with it. I found the car between Coweta and Wagoner through a friend of a friend.
Glad to see that you have your dates for Dewey, Mick (I have my goal).
