    Hello,
just wanted to share some pictures of the new car,1930 Model A.
this has been in a freinds family since 1977.
It has been in this garage since 1982.They have only put about 25 miles on it in 33 yrs.
It is now at our home!!where it will be restored.there are NO plans of chopping it or modifying the body!we might make it a little more hwy freindly tho :)
So here are some pics before we got it & when we got it home!
thanks for letting me share.cannot wait until its on the road!!
    Vic

Nice save!!!! I'd rather see it restored any day over some hack getting it and ruining it like so many have been. Not that you're asking but just in case you're on the fence I'll tell you what I'd do....

    Juicy Brakes
4" Drop axle with reversed eyes
    Lowered Rear
    '35 Ford Wires
7.50's and 5.50 firestone black walls

That's it though!!! Nothing you couldn't reverse in a couple weeks worth of work!

  11. Model A's are still the best bang for the buck and are just as much fun stock as they are hot rodded.

But I'd Check out the "Banger Threads" as well as Chris's threads... for simple reversible modifications that make it faster and safer at speed!

Build it like these and you can't go wrong...

only problem is you can't really lower the rear of an A enough to go with the dropped axle and reversed eye in the front.

Yuppers, stock A bones with just a few mechanical upgrades (brakes) and maybe a different set of wheels are cool as all get out. The Model A club here locally puts a lot more miles on their cars than a lot of so called hotrodders or Street rodders do in the area. You see those cars all over the place all year long.

Well you got a good one there and a keeper for sure. I say change only what you need to change to suit your use of the car. I also got a 1928 Roadster I found and had a lot of plans to change it up. Went and got all the parts for the mechanical brake change over and new tires ect. After the wife drove it to a car event she said it need nothing and thats what I did, nothing The mechanical brakes are as good as the brakes in our other cars so we left that like it was. A little paint and we are done.
