Yea, now that I see it, I dont think the skirts work. Anything that is gonna make the body look fatter is a non-starter. I agree on the mint green, that looks good. I realized sectioning it was out, more mentioned it as being a better choice than chopping it, which would not work at all. It DOES look good sectioned though.

Oh, I´m really sorry to hear that. Which particular part of the entirely free, voluntary service was it you wanted to complain about?

Well,I very much appreciate all the hard work you photo shoppers put in on this thread, and many others like it.
James, I learnt right back at the beginning of this thread that some people just suffer from an overactive complaining gland

PS. Is that the same pink on the caddy?

It´s not quite like the car I copied it from, but it´s anyones guess after all, if the paint on the car was mixed slightly wrongly, photographed in bad light, scanned in sloppily, badly copied by yours truly and probably looks different on my monitor here than it does on yours!
Hey, just pick one that your Mrs likes. :)

modify the car in such a way as it draws so much attention that it causes accidents !!!!!!

  7. OK then if satin black is out how about metal flake satin black with flat black black flames.

    Sorry I just couldn't resist.

I personally thing that little car would be the bomb deep candy red over gold with a silver flake roof.
Maybe some silver fades. Would also be in order.

I'm just sayin'. Cream and gold is good also.

 We never do that!... okay maybe.:D I was gonna do this one as a flat black Gasser but that would be sacrilege. I've never even seen one of these before but it looks like a pretty cool little ride. What drive train is in it?

HAHAHA! Could be, I 've seen one or two people get a little bent, but the truth is, not everything gets done. Its all in the presentation by the original poster. The original picture here is a pretty good shot and would be easy to work with. I tend to lean towards the Gasser look and was SO tempted to do so with this car, but its just too nice.
BTW, I'm digging the Caddy pink. That kinda has a metal look to it.:)

  16. well im an opionated son of a bitch and not a any kinda photoshopper

Either a 1340cc or a 1500cc Ford four cylinder non crossflow motor.

A pal in the UK actually built a gasser out of one of these in the seventies, with a 2.5litre Daimler V8. He said it was "pretty quick if you could keep it in a straight line".

He later built this green example (which was scalloped by the new owner). I loved this car!

^^^Yeah that is one of the koolest UKKustoms car ever!^^^
I like how it sits low w/out the aid of any adjustable suspension bits.
Whats next to it in the 1st pic? Is it a Zephyr pick up? any pictures?

Kev Rooney had a couple of very nice ones too. Loved the purple one. Or maybe it was just a diffrent version of the previous.

Paul, i like the one w/ the red flaked roof too. it will be beautiful.
There will be a couple of very kool Fords in EU next year.... ;)

No the Watson style purple car was a different car. That one had flush skirts on it.

Funnily enough,Kev's purple one (oo-er, that came out a bit rude) was on a certain not to be named auction site about six weeks ago. I didn't go for it because it's a little too well-known for my liking, and I wanted a real solid stock one that we could put our own mark on.

I think the auction ended without anyone taking a bite. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean a deal wasn't done.

  26. to me it looks like someone took a 60 starliner and shrunk it or tried to it think one thing that would help the little car out tremendously would be a chop but it looks like a chop would be a REAL bite in the ass

maybe just chop about 3 inches out of the front windsield post and lay the roof down a bit

Someone else might have better luck, but my chop made the car look oddly disproportionate... I don't think a wedge chop would look good IMHO.

Then again, JamesD will come along and wave his photoshop wand and all will be beatiful:p:p:p View attachment 1138473

I love Consul Capris - and I´d never ever chop one. They´re already damn near perfect. It´s only the angle of that photo that makes the car look a bit chubby.

I agree, the chop looks funky, I doubt it would enhance the car.
