Dr. Dave sent me some pics .. He sure has a good eye for a Doc. It rainned that day., all day. More pics from the Dr. Dave. This is one of my favorite Mercs, He is a fellow Okie from down south of the state. Cant remember his name but I think that his last name was Murphy Be sure to check out that front bumper. Shhhwing!! All Ford, Very Kool! More FMC stuff Thanks Doc might post some more pics later . Happy Trails, Mick
there was another shoebox with the same taillights, similarly done, i had a pic of it on my old computer, but don't have it anymore, anyone have that pic(black and white)?i must've gotten the picture from the hamb or rikster...
Not that it does any good for the purposes of your post, Chris, but this is the car you talking about..I'll find a pic of the back for you...
Here it is..found it quicker than i thought i would....I love the unorthadox chop on this thing too...
that was in kustoms illustrated a while back. funny i said the same thing its a wierd chop but i love it!! whole car is awesome..
here's another pic at show, different license plate, and looks like it was for sale, maybe this is an earlier picture?
Rikster, Anthony, Two Chops et.al. Any pics of a 48-9 Cadillac. I just picked one up and I'm considering doing it with a Carson top and some other mods. Thanks for starting the best thread ever.
I also reconize Norman Wesp's 55. Olds by the Chrysler tailights. Saw it at an outdoor Illinois carshow. trying to find a good photo .Mine are dated April 1957. Most of the cars you show have Illinois Land of Lincoln plates except for one Iowa.
I spotted a couple of these cars several pages ago. They were posted by Rikster. These were photos taken the same year, different location, judging by the plates on one of the hot rods in the photos. These shots are from early 60s late fifties World of Wheels, Only I'm pretty sure it wasn't called World of Wheels back then. These pictures were in my dad's collection of photos.
Lets bring this one up again... Some photos of a collection I bought some time ago. Mostly 80's stuff. Sam Barris Merc... long before it was sold to John Mumford. Rod Powell built Buick Another Rod Powell built Custom.. this one is now owned by Bruce Meyer, and was reworked by Joe Bailon. Richard Zocchi's 1941 Ford after it was painted white, but before the flames. Richard Zocchi's Kool 51 built by Bill Reasoner. Johnny's Studebaker truck with fresh body mods. Dutch flags hanging over this very nicely chopped Pontiac wagon
Cool car but I like the original center grille and would have removed the left and right opening.....but what do I know I'm just an 800 lb Gorilla in the room.
