    Interesting car. What's the grille from? Stock Merc center, of course, but not the sides.

    there was another shoebox with the same taillights, similarly done, i had a pic of it on my old computer, but don't have it anymore, anyone have that pic(black and white)?i must've gotten the picture from the hamb or rikster...

    that was in kustoms illustrated a while back. funny i said the same thing its a wierd chop but i love it!! whole car is awesome..

  18. Rikster, Anthony, Two Chops et.al. Any pics of a 48-9 Cadillac. I just picked one up and I'm considering doing it with a Carson top and some other mods. Thanks for starting the best thread ever.

    I also reconize Norman Wesp's 55. Olds by the Chrysler tailights. Saw it at an outdoor Illinois carshow. trying to find a good photo .Mine are dated April 1957. Most of the cars you show have Illinois Land of Lincoln plates except for one Iowa.

  22. I spotted a couple of these cars several pages ago. They were posted by Rikster. These were photos taken the same year, different location, judging by the plates on one of the hot rods in the photos. These shots are from early 60s late fifties World of Wheels, Only I'm pretty sure it wasn't called World of Wheels back then. These pictures were in my dad's collection of photos.

    Cool car but I like the original center grille and would have removed the left and right opening.....but what do I know I'm just an 800 lb Gorilla in the room.
