Yeah, because we all know there's a million stay at home moms on eBay this very moment saying, "That is just what I need for a table centerpiece this Thanksgiving!"

Who the hell else besides a "real hot rodder" would buy this? The captain of the fantasy football league at your work? Really dude?

I don't intend to get this thread OT, just thought some of you would appreciate what I was fortunate to come across.

    boucher racing,
How about a little more info on that setup in the GMC. I'm currently working on a 65 chevy 1/2 ton, and possibly installing a 292.

    Thanks
    Brian

i love em! OHC, oil cooled wrist pins, 6000 RPM all day and only 2.8 liter.
I have just picked up a few of the bigger M189 3.0 liter Mercedes engines which are alloy block and heads with mechanical fuel injection. The whole idea in my head is to build an engine that looks like a 1930's race engine . Mine are all 1966-1970 models .
heres one that picked up the F record in 2009 on the salt:

Please don't post pics with giant copyright symbols super imposed on them. any usable detail is obscured. If you are that worried someone might take them and use them for commercial purposes, don't post them.

  17. I've had Rocky's old '41 Pontiac with a 239 in it for a number of years. Starts right up, , runs strong and smooth.

it's a 270 with a big port 302 head, forged pistons, mild blower cam hooked to a 700r4 trans and a 9 ni. ford with 370 gears. i just pulled the engine this winter to disassemble and check things out. its about 8 years old and has about 20 thousand mi.. the engine runs real strong and has been farly trouble free other than one head gasket and eating cams. but i have that under control, i have been useing the wrong lifters and going to an oil with zinc in it.i don't have any 1/4 mi. times but it has SHOCKED a lot of big v-8s on the hiway. seems like they all want to play with you :)
