I saw this truck in a magazine a few years ago. This truck is what started a COMPLETELY unhealthy love/lust for ALL vehicles with Mother Nature and Father Time finishes!

 

i will definitely post more, Im in NYC for work but I fly back tonight, I pick the truck up in the morning, it's getting a 3" mono leaf drop in the front and a 3" block in the rear along with all new gas shocks as we speak. Once I get back I'll post more.

Heres my 50 3 window im working on .Its running and driving (kinda)with a 86 Cutless clip ,Trans-Am posi rear and a 350/350 combo (bought someone elses project) .Only had it a few weeks ,but i have got the floor welded in ,and am now straightening the 60 year old farm truck body.The bed is next .My plan is to have it in primer and be driving it daily by early spring .Im just real limited on time with my job ,but im making fast progress on it .Heres is a vid from a few weeks ago when i brought it home .The pics are as it sits today...

Thanks Robert .Yes it was a smoken deal .Glad i had the $$ when he put a price on it .You dont see many 60 yearold trucks with nice solid factory cab corners .He gave me the parts to fix the bed and i have already changed a few of them out .He also gave me a few hundred worth of new parts for it in boxes (windlace ,vent seals ,door rubber ,door latches ,etc).It was a buy ...

Heits Must II crossmember w/stock A-arms,etc. , 350, quadrajet, performer intake, old "vette" script finned valve covers , 700r4 , 10 bolt rearend , stock rear springs w/2 leaves removed, suburban gas tank, stock '49 steering wheel and seat , home made whitewalls , been driving it 5 years and never washed it - just clean the chrome and windows ! She was setting in an old blacksmith shop up on blocks since before 1973 when it went underwater when the Mississippi river flooded our town - and it's still wearing some of that ol'river mud here and there !
