  8. Looks like a good project. Have fun with it! Just remember the end goal and all the bumps along the way will smooth out. Cool that you can finish it with your fathers memory over your shoulder

Larry,it looks like you have really gotten into it , your Dad would be proud of you picking up the torch. If your like me every time you play or do anything with it he feels pretty close doesn't he. I can say that because I go through the same thing with the projects my dad and I had started, like I had told you before if I can help in any way drop me a line ....

    DadsLastRide,
You have been given an awesome legacy. I can identify with your story,
I never met my biological father,, long story..
I suggest you take a welding or fabricating class at a local JC, sometimes even a night school class will teach you how to weld... then practice practice,, a mig welder is
the best imo. But a old Lincoln arc box is a cheap start.. usually only about 100$.
You will learn the more you practice.. if you cant take a class go buy some books..
    then get busy.
Your dad's spirit and the power of the HAMB are with you;)

Ok... So heres the grill now that I painted it.
I know, I have a lot more to worry about right now than a grill, but it's having the little things done and outta the way that motivates you to do the bigger tasks!! ;)

You probably wonder why I chose this color green.....
It all started with the skull I painted for the shift knob and now I'm using the color of the helmet on the grill, rims, and headlights. It's all gonna splash onto the body in some NICEEEE scallop!!! And I will have a black insert in the grill with a big grenade painted on it ol skool style in dark red.

Welcome from Hartland WI! Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my Dad four years ago from cancer. He knew before he passed that I was going to get my first old car and passed on stories and helped me look at cars online. I felt that he helped me find my ride and that he's with me when I'm driving it. I put his early 60's high school photo on my dash.

I'm still kind of a rookie, but if you ever need any help just get in touch with me and I'd be happy to help any way I can- I'm just down the road. If you have any good pics of the car I can Photoshop it for you. Just send me a pm.

  30. Good luck with your build, make your dad proud!
