On the Plymouth Cranbrook is it possible to change it from the shifter on the tree to the floor and how big of hole do I need to cut to do it. I am just wondering if its possible without messing a bunch of stuff up cause the shifting on the tree is really confusing to me. Let me know and if anybody has a picture of it let me know!
I am only 22. I got it running and needed to put gas in it and put base stickers on it and go in for the inspection for SC and well I go to pull it out of the garage and I have no clue what I was doing. I just thought maybe I could rat rod it some more and put a shifter on the floor!
Have someone else drive... Seriously, if you look at the shifter from the pass. side, the motion is exactly the same as you'd use for a floor shift. If it's not working right, replace the linkage bushings and adjust it.
No offense but if you can't learn to drive a 3 on the tree, how do you expect to learn how to install a floor shift? It's a hell of a lot more difficult than driving a column shift. I once had to have my mother change my diaper and I crawled on all 4s. I learned. You can too. Everyone that learned to drive on a stick shift has their own funny horror stories.
