I awoke at 5:30am on Saturday, packed up some photos, calendars, camera and some clothes in the Galaxie and headed South.
    The first thing I saw.

The Galaxie is revving and ready to gooooo!

First stop (after topping of the tank, damn thirsty car) was at Jack's (yblock292's) beautiful home. There I met up with Jack, his wife Anne and Patrick (low-n-slo54). We headed out from there towards Ark City and Jeff's (finkd) shop.

Jeff gave us a tour, some really cool work going on there! Here we also picked up Kevin and his killer 64 Galaxie. (I'm partial to Galaxies and this one is saaaweeeeeet)

Then we headed out for Dewey, Jeff had picked out some fun curvy hilly roads for us, it was a blast!

Found a graveyard along the way
    [IMG]

We got to Dewey to find that Delaware street had been overrun by hot rods, customs and kick*** people galore!

Good food was had by all, I think Travis (twotallokie) said almost 300 burgers and 80 or so hotdogs as well as deer chili, beans and other ***orted deliciousness.

I set up my new trunk display idea to show off photos, calendars and books but honestly I was more concerned with hanging out than selling or shooting photos. Still sold a few items so it was worth the effort and this winter I'll be creating a whole display for the trunk area of the Galaxie.

After a little bit Everett (41Mopar) called Mick (straykatkustoms) up to the front, you could feel the people beginning to gather, we all knew what was happening, well everyone but Mickey! As most everyone knows by now, because Mick's just such a super swell fella who does so much for all of us, a whole bunch of us got together and bought him a new mill for his Merc. If he'd have known ahead of time he would have never accepted, all the more reason to surprise him.

All day we got to watch Ben Dragdaddys and Scorch put a fantastic Monster Mural on TwotallOkies shop wall. With a little help from Nick Rodriquez and maybe more. Any time you walked by they were adding more and more detail to this amazing piece!

The rest of the afternoon the cars split one by one (or two or three) until just a few of us were left. We took the opportunity for a little impromptu photo shoot.

All in all it was a great day, Thanks to Mick and Travis and the whole Stray Kat family for putting on a heck of a party for us! And.....Thanks again to the handful of folk who came and bought stuff from my trunk display.

At the time I post this, most of the photos will be unedited, but they will be automatically replaced as I get them done :) These are just a handful of the pics in the gallery, click on them to go see the rest.

The Stray Kat shows are some of the koolest anywhere and the cookout was just as good as the show!

Thanks for Sharing, I am sure I am one on many that would have liked to have been there. Looked like a great time. Like the trunk shot of great stuff only to see my truck in the middle of it all.

Man that mural turned out great! Travis, those are some wonderful pictures of my '54. Makes it look real clean. And hope you don't mind, I have some saved for my personal use (computer backgrounds). Mostly those of Mick are used for that. That really is the coolest corner in the world.

    And you too!
I still have that shot too, p.m. me if you want more info on it, 12x16 photo mounted on a hard plate, just lacks mounting hardware and it can be on your wall :)
Yeah Ben and Scorch really kicked **** on that wall, koolest shop wall I've ever seen to be sure. Go ahead and save those pics, the ones I post here are all tagged with my site so that if they get around it's just more people that will come check out my free galleries. The big ones are available for download for a small price if anyone wants them but the ones I post here are cool to keep for sure.

Hey Travis, thanks for all the kind words and we were thrilled that you wanted to drive
down and hang out with us. The good thing about the cook outs you get the time to
really know people and we are blessed with a lot of good friends.. I wonder how long a
car can sit in Jeff's shop without being chopped?

The road that you were on outside of Ark City is a kool drive. I bet seeing Jeff's Caddy
    in action was awesome.

I'm glad that you didn't have your camera when I was Sombrero'd....

You have a kool eye for Photography, keep up the good work and we will see ya Dec 11.

    Happy Trails, Mick
