So we all know how terrible the scallops were on the car. I have hated them since day one, but they were on there and that was that. Well, after some help from BONX here on the HAMB, we have a solid colored car. This is a Rustoleum job and ended with a total cost of around 46 bucks, no*********. I still have to put all the trim back on and re-assemble some of it, but I just couldn't resist. I am going to cut and buff it after a while to see what that does, but overall, I am VERY HAPPY. Sorry for the*****ty cell phone pics, its all im workin wit. Just to be clear, this was not done with spray cans. I bought the Rustoleum by the qt and reduced it about 50% with Acetone and sprayed through a normal gravity feed gun.

Heres the car before if no one had seen it:

So thats it for now. Im sure Steve aka BONX may post up some of the process pics. I dont think it looks to shabby for a backyard paint job! Go ahead with the opinions, ideas, and thoughts.

yea the scallops around the fender dont look good, but i do like the two tone, and yea it looks good in blue. why the color change, was it a bad paint job? it does not look bad in the picture but a picture can hid a lot?

I liked the scallops. I like the blue also but it is strange you painted your car blue a couple weeks after you were at my house and saw my all blue shoebox.

thanks or the compliments guys, im very happy. And for the record, it wasnt spray cans. Just Rustoleum brand oil based enamel reduced to about 50% with acetone. The***** was THICK. We shot it through a cheapy Ingersol Rand gravity feed from my compressor in the backyard. I now have a special blend of Kentucky bluegrass. Thats what I told my landlord anyway...

  30. Needs something. umm, oh I know. How about some white scallops. That would look good.
