Thanks again guys. Russco, I was thinking about that last night. I was beating myself up for not having more things done to the car, then I realized how much really has changed and I shouldn't be complaining at all. I have to constantly remind myself I have the rest of my life to get things to the way I want them. I do appreciate all the compliments and support/advice you all have offered.

I like it a lot, but I'm pretty sure that your car and mine are painted with the same color. Any way good job the scallops were the most horrible looking ones that I've seen.

They were absolutely the worst scallops EVER, haha. Its Rustoleum Royal Blue, simple as that. I bought it in quarts at my local hardware store. Now as long as you're never in St. Louis, or im never in San Diego, we're safe. Or we'll find all the rustoleum blue cars and make a HAMB social group.

I could understand you wanted to match the color of your car to the color of the famous Ford Exhaust-Fumes Blue, but I would've just kept it red and spent my time on improving the scallops ;) :D

  13. looks alot better i think i would of left the roof white but thats me i have some side trim from a 50 some is decent a couple pieces have dings and one of the fender pieces has a drilled hole in it :( but i have it if you cant find any

I think I'll just come out there some day and have you redo my blue, then we can really get that grass the color you want. It's not really that I want to paint my car in the backyard, its that I want a back yard.

Ok seriously it looks great but I did like the cream roof too. Maybe being a solid color is better for you though.

I didnt mind the cream roof as much as the scallops. This whole project came from an attempt at wet sanding the scallops off. The base coat was just too inconsistent and we burned through a lot of it, so figured, hell, why not just paint the whole car.

  18. I think shoeboxes look better with the roof the same color

Painted my old daily-driver - "the Suede Swede" with the ole Rust-oleum/acetone mix too . It worked out great . Their semi-gloss black has just the right gloss to it . I didn't shoot any pics of the spray-job though ;) .
