There are guys putting in diesels. You could also try going electric or Dodge Viper V-10!

Maybe a 232" Stude or the bigger damn near just like it 331" Cad???

A 303" Olds or an early Nailhead.

And never forget that a Cad. is as "Toad's" Girl would say, "Bitchin'!!!" and all through HR history so why not go with a 500" Cad.......

Big suckers weigh in at 625 pounds and the early year big one will twist the earth, STOCK, at 550 T!! Just gear the big sucker accordingly for the road...

I'd B&S it to something like a 550'er if it as mine.....

I believe "dirty4" said "something different".
Can we stick to the thread!
Now a 409, as "carcrazyjohn" mentioned, falls into that catagory.

If you don't mind a modern engine and wanted to do something different, the ford 4.6l 4 cam 32 valve v8 is a wicked engine. We have one in my wife's mark viii and mile for mile it's one of the best engines I've ever owned. Right now it's closing in on 240k miles and it still runs like a champ.

It's got tire melting hp and torque. It's a tough sob too because my wife has had it for
about 80k miles now and hasn't been able to tear it up. And this is a woman who thinks the red line on the tach is just a suggestion. :D

I hope I don't get thrown off the HAMB for suggesting it  :D

"guitar man" is right! I had a series of Mark VIII's and I beat Vetts with them. The regular Mark VIII had 285 hp while the LSC had 295-300 hp. I almost forgot about them and they're readilly available.

you could just hire people to push you around in it.....or you could put a honda s2000 four cylinder in it with the six speed tranny and rev that little truck out to 9k

Well, keeping within a fifties theme, how about a 4-71 jimmy?

IMHO, the Flatcad would be far more cool in the '34!

I agree that this would also be VERY cool.
