Today I was in an old ghost town off the beaten path and I paused long enough to snap some photos of this very old building. Imagine if you will this business in it's heyday. Probably a buzz of activity surrounded it not to mention jalopies, coupes, sedans, and trucks coming and going each day. <center>

Inside the office area. Note the coupe rear window gl*** and the old jumper cables still hanging on the wall.<center>

Awesome. I used to do a bit of exploring of abandoned buildings. I've always wanted to go on a big *** road trip out to ND and explore all the abandoned towns out there.

This is the wall area where the phone was mounted. Can still see lots of old phone numbers written in pencil on the wall. <center>

Chad I think the phone was mounted in the bare spot in the center. You can see the wiring and phone jack to the lower left. Not some fancy Iphone like you carry!

My God that place is horrendous. Why not burn it down and build a nice new Morton building shop? My city would never allow such dilapidation.

OMG! Burn it down?! That would create pollution and global warming!

Kinda like the newly converted biom*** power plant is going to do in your city

What about recycling that lovely old building. Maybe it could be the new station for your high-speed railroad.

And we thought you were green

  20. Paul, could you please pm me with any phone numbers that were penciled in by the old phone that said to call for a good time.;)

Looks like there were some newer buildings/houses in the first couple of pics. I wonder if they would know about the history of the "Garage?" Even better, if they would happen to have any pics of the "Garage" when it was in operation. Good photos no matter what, Thanks!

the newer building is a township storage building where they keep the motor grader and tractor. I would guess there are a dozen residents of this area.

I believe in recycling. Both cars and buildings. All I am saying is that building has served it's purpose and would be better off torn down or burned. You don't seem very tolerant of other people's opinions. I have noticed this behavior from other lesser educated people as well. Don't fret, you can still learn to appreciate forward thinking points of view if you are willing to see the big picture.

I am looking to the West and seeing the big picture. A great big cloud of black noxious smoke billowing to the sky. Full of asbestos and acid-rain producing compounds. The big picture is not pretty, Boy.

And I had some great stuff to say!!!!!!!!!!

I enjoyed the pics and am glad it is still standing.

The Garage sign painted on the bricks (or tin?) is awsome. Art in my eyes
