  9. I string up a strand of lights around the shop window; that is as far as it gets there. My shed, however, is another story! It's barn-shaped and 12'x8', so it gets something different every year. Hadn't decorated it the past two years, but this year, it'll get the whole treatment! The shed gets decorated around December 1st by me, and the wife does the inside of the house.

I've always wanted to put one of my project cars out and decorate it with lights, but I don't have a project car to do that with this year!

  10. Here's the tree in The Hot Rod Grille Garage. It's nine feet tall and decorated with 2500 white lights and six strings of Ford oval lights with a gumball machine for the topper. The variety of ornaments mirror the items found in the garage (cars, bikes, gas pumps, pinball machines, jukes, 50's pop culture, Coke and Pepsi "stuff"). Displayed under the tree are some of my favorite toys from Christmases past. It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

WoW!!! I used to work at a Texaco station in my early teens.... Every day after school till 9 p.m. That place shut down years ago......

  15. Actually, the race track is an original 1960's Aurora Model Motoring HO 4-lane set that is mounted to a 4 x 8 piece of plywood with folding legs. It is leaned against the wall behind the pinball machines so that there is room for the tree in the middle of the floor. Darn garage isn't big enough!

One holiday at a time is plenty for me. Talk to me after Thanksgiving. I won't shop at a store that has Christmas deco up before Thanksgiving.

Stick a cylinder hone in a piece of foam and decorate with ball bearings.

OK,----Here's one you can build for the shop, & hang your choice of ornaments on it, I'm just showing 1 for size.
Use 1/2 inch round stock for the trunk
1/4 inch for the branches & top ring
1/8 welding rod for the hooks
    Paint it Forrest Green

Mom might like it so much, she will want one too!!
Over the years I've made a few for my grown kids to enjoy with their families during the Christmas season---------Don:):)

Well you guys just reminded me that I told my wife that I would decorate the sailboat again this year. That will eat up a couple of days of my vacation this week.

I did get word from my cousin in Missouri this morning that she started taking down the "fall" decorations and will spend the next two weeks putting up the Christmas decorations. Be glad you don't have to haul all of those boxes out of the "decoration room" and up stairs.

you can decorate the shop but you also have to wear the Elf hat pointed boots and your Christmas sweater and Reindeer jammie bottoms.

Just came in from putting lights on house, it's 63 degrees out and I had the ladder out. Shop has been decorated since last year:p Never took the lights down:D. About that ornament tree, some people just seem to have all the imagination and talent:cool:. Great looking tree:)

I had a boss in the 80's that would put up a real tree just after Thanksgiving and one year he took it down on Easter. Mighty dead by then.
