Ok, in about a month I am going to tare my '47 Chevy coupe about and re-do the entire car. Here's my question; I have a color combo in mind, but I would like some feedback on other ideas of color(s). Let me know what you think.
If it were me.. Everyone has there own taste. I guess it's all about how much bling you want. I like this one.
why would you ever let someone else pick the color for YOUR car? Build it for you, not someone else. The ugliest cars out there are usually built by a comity.
I agree, it's your car. You have to look at it. Pick the colors you dig. What combo do you have in mind?
I was just asking a question. Trust me, I will pick the color(s) that I want. I was just seeing what other people thought. So, don't worry I will build my ride the way I want it. I just thought this was a forum for discussion. Thanks for all the feedback.
If you have a couple of decent, large high quality images of your car post them in this thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300531 Best images are side shots, slightly at an angle taken outside on a slightly overcast day. Even if the car is a couple of different colors and has dents and rust we can manipulate image to remove dents and rust and make it one solid color. Don't play around asking what colors it should be painted if you already have an idea, list a couple of color combinations and see what comes back.
Problem is, you're not gettting a discussion...you're getting opinions...plenty of them... A discussion is a back and forth conversation between you and "us"...so far it's been one-sided opinions of personal color choices. Offer some words, pictures, thoughts and we'll "discuss" it... R-
I believe the OP would simply like to see if anyone has a color/color combo suggestion that he hasn't thought of that he may like. He could sit there and rack his brains the rest of his life and might not think of some of the suggestions offered. I don't have any, but I don't think it's a bad question.

So, to all you that answered, thank you. ps. I'm going burnt orange and a off white flake roof. However I probably won't be ready for paint until the first of the year so my mind could possibly change.
I like the Bomba look, light metallic frost green with a darker top, or the above kinda light mauve looks good too. Why the suspense, what colors do YOU have in mind? Duh. NOW I read the second page and your color idea. Well, it's your car...

Do the body orange sherbert, do the top cream white. Rims ww"s orange sherbert and chrome caps. Do some patterning in pearl white within borders on the white cream roof. Dreamsicle in super high gloss.
