It is just like not posting pictures of your License plate or your VIN number. Can't count how many time I scroll through a post to see someone posting a VIN Number or a picture of a VIN Number. Here in NY, I can take that picture you shown online, Print it out, walk in the DMV, fill out a couple of forms and walk out with a title to your car in about 20 minutes. The less information shown or given out the better!!!!
I'm not worried too much about theft here. The only thing they'd be leaving with would be several lead implants.
You mean him? No he's not kidding. Here in MO it takes a couple of days but the state doesn't inform the owner until after the title has been issued and they don't care about what the real owner has to say about it. Done is done as far as they are concerned.
I think it would be nice if there was cross referance to hamb member and what state or country ( for those members not in the United States) he or her lived in. There could be a list for members per location.
That's got to play havoc with the national data base for stolen cars, if you can pull a stunt like that in Missouri...
So... five or six (or ten or twenty) people in NY and MO can have or get "titles" to the same vehicle... ?
Everybody knows it as Northern Mi. or "Up North" Mi.,... names of towns just throws everybody into a state of confusion up here. (Eh,... Da folks from da yooper calls us Trolls,.... cause we lives under da bridge eh ?)
It's simply a privacy matter. We are losing our privacy daily, and at an alarming rate. You younger guys may think it's cool to put your life out there for the world to see, be it on the HAMB, Facebook, Twitter or whatever....................but trust me, you will pay an enormous price in loss of privacy.
I forgot to add that Flaherty has two" Beer stores" so that makes it a town and people want to live here !!!!!!! LOL. Tom (Tired Old Man )
I'm going to agree with Dick on this one, it helps when you can find folks in and around ur city. I would have never known that Richard (dirty mofo) D lived 7 blocks from me if it wasn't for the HAMB and the Sheriffs top ten list. Makes life easier! Just kidding chilli dawg!
I live in a town of 600 people (including the outlying farms and such). Feel free to come over to my house when I'm not here and try to steal something...chances are good you won't make it to the end of my driveway...
I like it when people have where they live because it has helped out in the past with starting a car club and just inviting people to our HAMB meet and greet that we are having next weekend.
Kewl, might I recommend a bulletproof vest with ceramic plates, as my neighbor has a .45-70 sitting next to his front door., oh, and could you give me a picture release so I can publish the smear you leave on the ground when the 80 year old coot is done with ya? EDIT: how in the F#$k do I get myself to stop posting in these goofy ass threads?
I am real easy to find. Just ask anyone in town, and they will say, "OH that is where the old man lives with the Bunker and all the AK47s waiting for TEOTWAWKI." There is no problem so great that an AK47 and a full magazine wont take care of. LOCK and LOAD. Like the sign on the door of my shop says in bold letters STEAL HERE--DIE HERE nuff said
I shoot back. I received the marksmanship ribbon while in the USAF. I.E. small arms expert. Edit: You can't, I've tried.
I'm safe where I'm from. When folks hear that banjo music coming from out of the woods, they drive right on by.
got to love the bad ass gun slingers on this thread. now the thieves will be sure to look for your weapons while they are stealing your stuff.
helmetta even the town nextdoor hasent heard of it. i should just put gettin nookie with snooki in seaside
So I live in Norwich, CT. 7 miles west from Foxwoods Casino, and about 5 miles east of Mohegan Sun casino. I live in one of the better sections of town, but still not ok to leave your car doors unlocked at night, unless its a hot rod I guess. People have stolen out of my wifes car when we forgot to lock it, but still not the hot rods. Strange, besides my wife is a very light sleeper with all of the snoaring I do at night, so if she hears somebody in the driveway she will throw open the window and yell at them until the cry and run for "ze" hills! LOL CHUCK
