Its definately been over 30 days and is it a driver yet.

  2. It was in 30 days ( a year ago ) and now I'm pretty much taking my sweet time trying to make it look pretty. Thinking i can fire it up again by the end of this week hopefully. Won't be done but movable.

Can somebody recommend a good 19" wire wheel in 5 on 4.5? The model A repops look a little sparse in the spokes to be a good match. I need something that has a good aftermarket selection of hub covers. I'd like to reuse my willys caps but I know that's a real long shot.

  7. Well sometimes you don't get as much done as you would like. After a couple trips to the Chiropractor at least i can move again. Managed to get the front suspension off, painted and back on. Also finally have some parts painted with the new blue for the two tone. Planning on doing the beltline in the same color and some striping. Hopefully will get to the grille, splash apron and dash later this week.

Would this be something that Coker Tire can make for you?

  21. Kinda down to doing this Johnny Cash style now....... One piece at a time. Took two tries on the dash to get it right but i needed practice wet sanding anyway:rolleyes:. Onward and upward to the next piece and till then later.

Beautiful! Nice contrast, really pops off there!:D:D:D

  23. Well gas tank is in and plumbed, finally! Rear pan and frame horn covers are a done deal also. Anybody know what kind of gas cap will fit the Willys spout? The genius that did the tank for me threw away the original tank and cap when he was done with them, truly a bright move! So i decided to take a look at the original headlight buckets and noticed a crack in one so no big deal I'll weld it up, WRONG. Turns out that everything to do with the headlights are made out of brass, who knew? Was this common in the 30's? Well once we found out they were brass we just had to clean them up a bit. Problem being now i don't know to use them or not. They were off and apart when i got the car and don't really know how they go together and what parts i might be missing, plus the cost of chrome. Still thinking about using 32 Commercial lights instead. Thanks Charlie for helping rub on the lights, we'll probably buff them just for kicks too. Fenders are next so see you later, Scruff.

Just found and read this whole thread, car looks great and you do stay busy.

Id like to know the color of the darker blue, is it PPG single stage also? the light blue looks close to Ford Grabber Blue to me. Love the color combo.

  29. Could only get the darker blue in base/ clear. The lighter blue is a mid 70's Isuzu if i remember right and thanks. Been working on a 65 Chevy II and a 70 challenger for a couple friends for the last 4-5 weeks. Hope to jump back on mine SOON !!! Darker Blue is 2000 Cadillac.
