Yesteday I went to this car show, one of the most important (if not the most important) cl***ic car show in South America. Here are some pics, including my own version of this Rolls-Royce made on Paint:

    And the show pics!

Yes, I know, this is not the traditional kind of cars we love, but it is pretty good.

I love this roadster!! I think this is the only set of Ardun heads in Argentina.

A TC (Turismo Carretera) racing car from the fifties. It looks like a weird show rod!

A Deuce!! 1932 Fords are really hard to find in Argentina. This one came from Brazil.

An early thirties Ford V8 racing car (baquet), the grill shell is obviusly came from a 32, but I don't think this is a Deuce.

Kool pictures! Interesting to see some hot rods from Argentina.
What's the story behind this one:

Is it a new or old build?

Actually the few true hot rods in Argentina began being built about three years ago. This one was built by a museum as a project called "Building two hot rods in 90 days", in 2008 or 2009. They built this and the Jaguar-powered T-bucket. The interesting story is about the engine. As you can see, it's a flathead with the Ardun conversion. This engine was built in 1958 or 1959 by a Turismo Carretera racer called Galvez (one the greatest heroes in TC history). I don't remember what happened at that time, but he couldn't use this engine for racing in TC, so he raced Y-blocks for many years after this; don't trust me too much, I don't remember the full story! The engine remained in the museum for about five decades. I saw it in Autoclásica three years ago (pic attached). I'm almost sure this is the only set of Ardun heads in Argentina. About the car, they say it's a 32, but I'm not sure. Deuces are almost impossible to find here, and this bosy is very modified. It looks more like a model A mixed with a model T. At least the ch***is and the grill are 32! Saludos, El Momio!

    If I'm not wrong it's a 1933 o 34 flathead-powered Indy car. Obviously, a modern replica!
