That's got to be The Ventures

I searched all my files and couldn't come up
    with the song.

I'm on the road and have limited access through my
laptop......will check on my home pc tomorrow night
to see if I can find it.

I've got several of their albums and will check there also.

Ventures for sure but I'd have to check my cd's to see which one it is on.
Just about every early 60's high school garage or ba*****t band could knock out a batch of their songs at a Saturday night at the hall.

Probably on side 2 of a Ventures 45.

    Zack,

If you're looking for a copy of that song you won't find it on any old 45's or albums. My advice is if you like the song, pay for the full-size 3-minute WAV file version and download it.

The song is a "production music" track produced by independent studio musicians and licensed for video, audio or movie soundtrack use.

I know this is way off-topic - but I work with this sort of thing (voiceover and audio production) so thought I'd shed a little light on the subject.

PM me if you want more in-depth info...

I checked my "Walk-Don't Run" the best of the Ventures CD and no dice. I'm surprised it's not on there.

    Thanks for checking guys.

    Terry,
I sure like the beat to that track. I'm not a big fan of the surfer beach stuff but this particular track really has a nice rythm. I sure hate to pay $47 for a 3:00 song. Any other ideas? I wish i had some software on my PC that could record it, LOL.

Asphalt Angel........ I am 100% sure Milner would not approve. We'll just have to keep it a secret from him, LOL.

Only if the Ventures play, digitalised, synthesised elevator music.
I mean come on, the real deal is 1 million times better than that.
    The Ventures rule!
To the original poster, by some original recording compilations and find out for yourself exactly how good they are:cool:

I think it might be The Pyramids, not the Ventures.

I checked on I-tunes. There's a band called The Bikini Beach that sounds alot like the tune your looking for. Might do the trick for you.

The longer it played, the less it sounded like the Ventures. It needed the drums pumped up and pushed more to the front.

Still, a well made tune. And for 3 minutes of royalty-free usage, probably a pretty good deal for $47. What do you suppose it would cost to license an actual Ventures recording for commercial use?

I agree that it isn't the ventures, but I can't place who it is. Mike

Scout around on the Sundazed site, you may find what you're looking for there.
