well, the may or may not be "vintage" as they were shot in 1971, so they aren't quite 40 years old...BUT they are too cool to not post...

:) This is one from somewhere on the web. I don't know where it is from, but I have it printed, framed, and hung in my garage.

Illustrator Neon Park did this, er, uh, parody album
cover for the 1970 follow-up to "Burnt Weenie
Sandwich" by Zappa and his Mothers of Invention.
The art created quite a brouhaha, meaning it had
achieved its purpose AND sold tons of records for
Zappa! LOL Pretty exquisite example of anti-
establishment, counter-culture art in the 'Nam era,
I think! Makes ya wax nostalgic for the days before
"PC," eh? Cover THANKS to Wikipedia, shown
here under fair-use rationale and for info only.

Pretty cool. This is the lurid cover illustration Zappa
took to illustrator Neon Park for inspiration to do an
even more audacious, off-the-wall album cover for him,
previous post. The mag was September 1956's Man's
Life and is THANKS to Wikipedia, shown here under
fair-use rationale and for info only.

Humor is a panacea for any up-tight society!
The National Lampoon is legendary, of course.
The cover for the January 1973 issue is considered
one of the 100 most effective of all time, for obvious
reasons! Photo by Ron Harris. Presented here for
info and conversation on this forum. THANKS
to Wikipedia, shown here under fair-use rationale.
