Your work is super clean, I enjoy watching the progress. Nice job.

  2. Thanks guys, means alot...

  3. Still can't get how quickly you're making progress.

You'll have a full frame project done before I can get a 'simple' engine swap done on my truck.

  4. Nice work laidout...I don't know how I missed this thread the first time through.

You've got ambition and skills, that's for sure.

    laidout,

First I want to say this is a great build. I'm new to the site, but have watched many of the builds on this site. I follow along and look closely at the pictures, which brings me to a couple questions.

    1. Your crossmember is now tacked to the frame. Are you going to add any gussets from the member up to the inside of frame section, so it will be welded vertical also, not just on the bottom of the frame? This should keep it from trying to twist under heavy braking. You added gussets on the frame and also on your upper "A" arm mount.

    2. Your motor mount tabs are now tacked to the frame. It looks like there is only about 1/8" gap between "A" arm mount and tabs, will this leave you enough room to weld solid on both side? I saw this on your post of 11/14 pictures 7 & 8.

I not trying to be a smart ass, and people watching please don't crucify me, just my observation, I may be getting ahead of your work. Again a great build and I look forward to your postings.

  8. Thanks, it never hurts to ask these kinds of questions. I apperciate it, no harm in it.

    Thanks again

    Justin,
Thanks for the quick response and anwsering my questions. I figured you had everything covered. I think Forest Gump said this, not sure "stupid is as stupid does". I'll just sit back and wait for some more amazing stuff. I'm already subscribed.

  16. Well Got the housing cleaned up and the leaf spring mounts removed, and got the axle set in place. Had to switch back to my old 3-link wishbone setup since there wasnt enought room for the parrallel 4-bar. So i got both the lowers tacked in.

    Heres the pictures...

Lower mounts (nut is welded on the back of the tab)

Cut the gusset out of the upper wishbone because the metal i used for it was pitted. Thinking of chroming the link bars....

    Thanks

  17. Work on the frame a little last weekend and some this weekend, got the driveline hoop crossmember made and installed, still needs some kind of gusset. Also got the upper wishbone installed, front tabs on the wishbone still need gussets. I got the body mounts tacked into place also (frames going to be sandblasted so i didnt worry about cleaning them up).

    Heres the Pictures...

  26. Well Got the running Board mounted, had to modify the drivers front mount so it wouldnt hit the ground. Also started on the center section of the frame, so i will have to make a trans mount. need to get some more 2"x4" to do the otherside of the center section.

    Heres the Pictures....
