:eek:Some more photos posted of the intake, carbs, linkage & scoops. Since taking these photos, I have put a Lokar tri-power cable bracket under the left side rear carb. The throttle cable will hook up here quite nicely, but I need a way to attach the actual cable/wire to the accelerator pump cam on the Left Front carb. Is there a larger/different cam available?

I could shorten the scoops at the bottom and/or lower the set screw, but the major problem as I see it is the lip on the carb is only 1/4", not much of a surface for fastening the screw to. And yes, they are Chinese Junk ... purchased from the speed shop, but originally from Speedway.

Good looking project so far. I'm****uming the car is the one pictured in your avatar pic.

How about a full shot of the car too.

I don't care if it's glass or not, I dig henry's style...to me immitation is the highest form of flattery. Immitate it as close as YOU want.

Did I miss the specs on the motor, cam compresson and all that?

Don't sweat it, a lot of people don't know the definition of clone or restoration. It's an education thing, or lack of.

Take your best shot. :p And do a damn intro.

The guy's name is Steve Kimmel. He doesn't have the blue deuce anymore but I understand he is building another '32. You can see some more pictures here.

  7. Thanks for the link. The car really is more impressive in other pictures I have seen..................maybe this is what subliminally had me do my T in blue and red?

Most of the time, I probably will run real air cleaners, but wanted to keep the "Graffiti" look. I did not change the cam yet. Summit Racing Equipment tech dept said I should be ok, but who knows? I might have to change the cam. Yes, it's a GM Performance crate motor (SBC-350cu in.) And no, haven't fired her yet...but can't wait!

If you copied Edmunds tiny #8 machine screw setup like I have, that 1/4" carb lip would be enough.

The small OD of the screw lets you run real close to the edge. I would run 3 screws per carb, and it won't get loose. Make the ends of the screws pointed to dig into the lip...and better yet, make a small drill spot in the carb lip to make it very stable.

I just can't tell if you can shorten the scoops to get rid of those big set screws. It would look normal if you could. How about just cut the scoop to the very top edge of the threaded hole, then file the remainder of that raised boss off?

By the way, that blue 32 is very cool...but what do I know.

Very nice setup. I have the same intake. How are the carbs set up to run as a 4x2? Any details on the carb builds?
