    I have a new appreciation for Barris and his photography for all the little books after watching Evels DVD. Alot of people wont hesitate to bash him but the man was there and was moving this hobby/lifestyle forward.

    Happy Birthday George ! Back in the late 50s my friends had Baseball & Football players as people they looked up to and wanted to be.I wanted to be like George ,I still have a few copies of CAR CRAFT from 1962 that i wrote into GEORGES Column about customs about my 40 Nash.I have a picture on me in front of Barris Kustom in North Hollywood,i also met George at car show in Altantic city about 10 years ago.Thank you GEORGE and many more years as we had a lot of our Heros leave us

    Happy Birthday to a legend. Saw him at Back to the 50's weekend in MN several years ago, just a-grinnin', yakking it up with folks and having fun. Seemed to me to be a really KOOL (with a capital "K"!!) sort of guy.
