1921. "Margaret Gorman in Birmingham car." Whose reptilian body has an alligator finish. In 1921 Margaret was both the first Miss Washington, D.C., and the first Miss America.

Photo 136. I've been there many times. Twin Peaks, San Francisco. Bay Bridge and Treasure Island in the background. Oakland on the other side of the bay. These pics are great.

Yep, Mazooma,---I was working on a new school job in Rolling Hills,Ca.---Went to get a Pepsi at a close by market for lunch & heard about it on the pickup radio & was dumbfounded---Couldn't wait to return to job & spread the news----No one would believe it at first!!

I recorded it by inscribing the event on a 2X6 wall stud in the building!---Some day it will be discovered----MAYBE, HA!

Finally scanned a few of my old photos, heres some shots from my Navy days,,
one shot was taken from the drivers seat of my car, after we left the shipyard, any ships company personel could load their car on the flight deck and or hangar deck and get a ride from Portsmouth VA, down to Mayport FLA, they recommended a heavy coat of wax.

I was on the Lexington in Pensacola,Fla. . We went to dry dock in Boston (Jan'73) and loaded cars in the hanger deck since no aircraft were onboard.
