Congrats! Bugs was feeling so bad, even wondering if he was gonna go on and build his next ride, hope he didn't get cold feet. Immagine that, spending 5 years of your life to get your first custom car and then not even enjoying it for a year... Jimmy must be pretty happy to get his truck and trailler back too.

 

Thank God they recovered everything. F'ing theives deserve to be hung up by there nuts

Glad it was all recovered. Depending on the severity of the truck door they make a tool that restores the area where a lock cylinder has been "pushed through" . My Dad works in a body shop and I remember seeing him use it. It has attachments that go on both sides with a nut and rod and as you tighten it the shape is restored.

HOLY SHIT! Troy.....These stories NEVER end like this! Makes you wonder what the theives were thinking? Sounds like they didn't want the truck or the trailer! AND! the trailer wasn't even opened? Pretty fuckin strange......

Actually, the owner does not even own a trailer (that was me trying to take it to Arizona).
And he drives it nearly DAILY!!! Seriously!!

Troy,sorry you didnt maje Scottsdale but damn glad you got the car and towrig back (Im sure you insurance company is too) Glad to hear the owner drives the car cause thats what its all about,Like I tell guys all the time,"NOT DRIVING YOUR HOTROD IS LIKE LIVING WITH PAM ANDERSON AND LETTING HER SLEEP IN THE OTHER ROOM".Hope the cops got some leads off the towrig and will go after them since this cant be untrained kids doing this.

Glad to hear it turned out good for once. The guys at HHR are a bunch of top notch guys! I stopped by thier shop one day while on vacation, and they gave me and my friend a FULL tour of thier shop. Including an up close look at the Raybestos rpu they were building at the time.
