Not sure who did the chop but the front glass was never planned out.

DeRosa helped with the back window and everything else.

I'm getting more and more depressed and the show gets more and more cool. I think it's directly proportional.

Is Joe Bortz the owner ? I thought Glen Johnson still owned it.

Is the Paisano Bros. / Herb Ogden 1941 Buick confirmed?
That's one I've always wanted to see in person.

This car is well known in the DFW area. In fact I spent the day at Pistons 'n' Paint parked next to it last weekend. I remember it well from my younger days, both in the mags and at eastern car shows. Still looks great! Would make a great addition to the customs display at GNRS in my humble opinion.

Just confirmed... the Sam Foose built 1948 Ford Coupe done in the 1970's.
Sam was inspired by the Sam Gates 1948 Ford Cope that was featured in the 1954 issue of Rod & Custom Magazine.
I'm glad we now have one of Sam Foose his customs for this exhibit. I have been a great fan of his work.
The car is now owned by Jack Bernard who is entering the car.

Alright guys, Hold on to your seats. Been workin on this all weekend. For all you diehard 60's lovers - I am proud to announce three VERY historic cars.

    THE TRENDERO

    ED ROTH'S "ORBITRON"

DAVE SHUTEN'S TIME CAPSUL LAVENDER 59 IMPALA - This car was built in South Dakota around 62, shown all over the mid west in 63, then parked in a vault for 40 years until it was discovered.

None of this would of been possible without my friend Dave Shuten and his
    passion/persistence . Thanks very much.

I have been logging on daily to see if the price for me is coming down at all. It seems to be holding. I'm trying to see if flying into Ontario might work.

  24. Not trying to but in on your dollar situation but try checking prices for Longbeach or Burbank airport, they are a little smaller and usually cheaper then L.A.X. You dont want to miss this one man ,the list of customs is getting heavier by the day.
