JC, you say Clayton was Killed? what happened?
A while back I gave him a movie reel I took at the NHRA Springnationals in Ohio many years ago. It was footage of "the New Dimension" car crashing in the lights.

 

I thought he was killed in a plane crash?? He was a real runner, pushed the drag racing frontiers in all directions....

 

Clayton and his daughter died is a plane crash 10 years ago today. JC

No, that is Mark Buchanan of Bo Mar Industries in Indianapolis. JC

 

Thanks, He sure did look like Mikres to me but my memory is wage. Mikres gave a few friends of mine their first lessons in nitro racing back in the 90's, just after Pisano passed away I think.

Yep, he has been there since 73. Here is a photo of the Corvair on the truck. It is one of few that shows my name on the fender. on this Thanksgiving day I am thankful for having a brother like Ron who kept me out of trouble in my teens and although I worked my tail off, he rewarded me with several rides in his cars. everytime I come to this thread to check out the updates I want to get my Hudson out and hit the drag strip! too bad I have to wait until the end of April now...

Port Alberni Thunder in the Valley...drag races at the local airport. Not very historical but a cool pic of a wicked Hemi car.

 

My understanding is that Korney's Vette was his Goldfinger Anglia re bodied ~ At least that's what I have heard for the last 40 years.
