Me and Dad spent alot of time in the infield shooting pictures for National Speed Sport News.dad shot between 3and4, I shot between 1and2,and use to be looking that way for the starts and restarts. Also heard about Tom a while back, story I got was something about a reaction or complication from some sort of medical or dental procedure don't know how true the story was or if it has anything to do with his current health issues.....Rich

LMAO!!! Gotta love the cop above. He's at Danbury - one of the most adored tracks in racing history, and all he's concerned with is what he just stepped in.

  3. he's got tp under his foot too!

Picture taken by me of the former Piscopo 39, the car was sold when they built the new 39 with the big block engine. This was the opening day of the 1967 season at the Reading Fairgrounds. The car was driven by Blackie Reider and on occasion by Al Tasnady.[IMG]

I liked the paint job on this version of the x90: the top half of the car was silver for a change, the bottom half was the traditional white (not sure of photographer)

same car alongside Charlie J at Trenton I believe (not sure of photographer)

Sad news comes today from Matt Serwacki Jr., nephew of Ed Serwacki.

Ed was one of the original partners in Lancaster (NY) Speedway in 1959 and was owner-promoter up until he sold it at the end of the 1971 season. Ed was suffering for a number of years from Alzheimer's Disease and p***ed away in a nursing home in Arizona.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ed's wife of 50+ years, Shirley, his daughter Carol and his brother Matt Sr.

    From Matt Jr.:
"It is with great sorrow that I am writing to you to let you know that my Uncle Ed Serwacki p***ed away this morning. He had stopped taking food and water several days ago so we knew the end was near but it was a long slow decline a blessing really in the end. Rest in peace Uncle Ed and when we hear thunder from above may it really be a new Super Modified race on a track he just finished being heard! He was way ahead of his time for WNY racing, too bad they didn't have the deep pockets to fulfill the dreams the group of them had when starting Lancaster Speedway. Matt
