Just a quick poll. Guys and I sleepy bench racing in a turkey induced coma, came to talk about relative grill shell to ground clearance and it's relationship to front suspension style and motor size. That said answer this. 1. Motor size 2. Suspension type 3. Chin height Figured it could be a useful topic for those questioning how low without sacrificing safety and not tearing the bottom off the grill shell.
Wow. Turkey hangover. Forgot this part. Mostly in regards to late 20's early 30's coupes, sedans, roadsters.
Maybe he is talking about the front splash apron on 30's cars,, If a squirrel runs out in front of me in my 32 pickup he will be decapitated! HRP
I've got a 29 shell with a flathead and a suicide front mount to split 36 ford bones and it sits 3" off the ground. Another one of us has a channeled 31 A with a 248 and a 32 shell running 4.25" approx. As an example.
A picture is worth a thousand words,,my bumper is just a little over 5" from the ground,,I can just slide the toe of my shoe under the splash apron. HRP
