Nope, That's Naples Italy, been there a few times, that is mount vesuvius, the volcano that destroyed pompeii,, where i have also been,, compliments of
uncle sam, via one of the largest cruise ships of the day,, an american aircraft carrier.

 

Here are some pics I took when I was there,, enjoy
you can see ruins of pompeii, the tram that takes you to the top of Vesuvius, and our tour guide looking down into the cauldron.

Preparations for cutting Christmas Tree, Presque Isle, 1959

In 1959 a tree from Presque Isle was selected to become the National Community Christmas tree for the Christmas Pageant of Peace in Washington, D.C. The crane that was used to lower the tree got stuck in the October mud during the preparation stage of the project.

+++Other than the missing cars, people and lights, it doesn't look appreciably different today. You could make a "then" and "now" photo with an eraser. America lost a great era.
