My 34 P/U came with a big logo SW temp gauge. The roadster had a big logo oil pressure gauge. A buddy of mine gave me a 60 amp gauge. I found a big logo SW gas gauge on Ebay. It was a 6V unit. I found an NOS SW 6V sending unit on the bay also. I got one of the 12V to 6V gauge voltage reducers on Ebay too for 1/2 the price of the hotrod shops including shipping. (I like saving money:D)... read cheap********.

The Mexican 12V SW gas gauge finally died. It quit for a day or two, came back, worked for a few weeks and then quit altogether. So it was time.

I'm too old and fat for this***** anymore but I got er done.:D Ya can't move the seat back on a 34 P/U. The previous owner went to a lot of trouble to mount the gauges from behind so that only the chrome step on the bezel shows so everything had to be connected while standing on my head. Ain't hotroddin' fun?

No pictures of the new setup. My camera is dead but you can see that the gauges don't mount normally.

The gauge seems to work (if I have 3/4s of a tank):D The old one wouldn't register anything.

A long boring story but I wanted to share it with the few people that might get a kick out of them. A complete set of the large logo SW gauges. I'm pleased. My buddies would just yawn.

There you go... getting all technical on me.:D

My temp gauge has the flat glass so it must be a 1957 variety but the others are all convex glass. Hell nobody ever notices the big logo let alone the glass. They will be good enough for me. I just think it is cool to have gauges that were only made for 3 years. I'll post a picture of them if I ever get the software transferred to my new computer. At least there are 2 of us that dig them.:D

Very nice, tommy. I can still get in there and out of there just fine, I just can't SEE anything while I'm there.

I know nobody cares but here they are anyway... all big block gauges (with one flat lens.:D) It only took me 2 months to get the pictures out of the camera.

try getting under the dash of a Model A PU, you have a roomy version. I try to get under it and I get stuck.. almost have to call the jaws of life to get me out.. luckly momma had a bucket of crisco and a come-along to unstick me.. and i was only trying to get out of the front seat.. not even under the dash yet..

For once, you are wrong :D

I care...and I am sure a lot of others do also.

I like old parts, old builds and recreated old builds with old parts. When I spot a car at a show with old parts, I am smiling inside.
