Im soooo proud of my o/l!!!

So we (my o/l kittenmittens and i )were at the Houston autorama this evening. She never was really exposed much to hot rods before me. And as we entered , all the easter eggs and ArtRods / streetrods (if you dont drive em... thats what they are. art) were up front. She said "umm... not to be rude but where are all the cool cars? like at the round up" (she got a couple of points for that) then when we go back to local club areas she found got back to the traditional types she liked.. (that Merc 4 door with lepord print is her fav of all time I think)

Well anyways she has a HUGE soft spot for tri five ponchos, and saw a decent 55 out of the corner of her eye in the for sale section and went off to investigate... She came back and said.. "its just a shame...", "what" I said. she replied " decent paint, and could swap out the billet rims for something more traditional" (more points are being checked off in the mental register) "but thats not the worst of it, They all kinds of fucked up the interior, its got late model leather buckets in the front and rear, and a stupid console with the shifter in it. its just a shame. It would be perfect with chrome wheels and tuck and roll benches in it"

Needless to say she made me proud tonight. just wanted to share.

No, it's just you. Ain't nothing wrong with bragging on your girl, especially when she digs these old cars.

 

im not being negative, but isnt this very off topic? i thought this was to ask questions and give advice on hot rods not talk about girls.

 

I wish my wife liked anything older than 2005. At least she lets me have my fun!

1. She identified a Tri year PONTIAC
2. She identified the un-traditional parts and "upgrades'
3. She mentally formed a plan to rectify some idiot's idea of "upgrades"

No negativity felt. In a round about way it is on topic IMO. Kona Cruisers seems kind of gassed that his girl knows what she likes and doesn't like in a hot rod. That's cool by me. If my lady said as much, my jaw would hit the floor. Good on 'em both.

 

Fits right in there with the lawnmowers and tractors and minibikes and refrigerators and such.

 

i understand that blacktop, more power to the females, i just like to see pictures and threads about cool parts, or info,build threads and what not.
