Old time friend and fellow rodder, Barry Lobeck is in poor health and your thoughts and prayers would be well received. I have known Barry since the late '70s and have had many laughs and good times with him. He was supportive and good to me when I almost lost my leg and had cancer. He could get a laugh out of you no matter how much you were down. Well, right now, he is down and needs your thoughts. Thanks , Chris Staneck...........
As Barry told me years ago Ya know if ya keep doin this ya may get good 1 day Don. Well back @ ya Barry. You've help and inspired a lot of us, so I know we're all pullin and prayin for ya buddy.
Didn't he have CANCER about 10 years ago ? Hope he gets better, I remember him and his cars from the old Gatlinburg rod runs in the early 70's. Prayers
I met Barry back in 1989 at the Carlisle PA car show and swap meet . Always thought highly of the cars he built . He came over and checked out the 40 Ford pro street coupe I had built and we had a great discussion on some of the stuff I did with the car . He and his wife are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. My thoughts and prayers and hopes are that he knows what a classy guy he is and wish him a full recovery
I had out last night a back issue of TRJ and was reading about one of his many builds. Tonight I'll pray for him by name, as we Baptist are prone to do. He's a fine man.
You're in my prayers Barry. I heard on Friday from Butch Martin and the Bay Area Boys. They're talking about taking a road trip to visit Barry.
I always knew if his (and a few select others) name was mentioned in a R&C or other mag I had, it was worth a closer look. A very talented guy. I wish him the very best and a speedy recovery!
I got the news last week from Jon Hall,... and Yes,.. He really needs our prayers. Our very best to you Barry,....
That a bummer. I met him this summer when I had him build a frame for me. He sure seems like a decent guy. I believe he had a heart attack a while back. We were comparing stories and he showed us where they split him open. I hope for the best for him.
I've always admired Barry's style...both in business and in cars. I've enjoyed my chats with him over the years and look forward to more in the future. Get well, soon!
I talked to one of my friends in Maryland last week and he told me that Barry was not doing well. Prayers sent. Get better soon.
