    Hi Guy's,

    I was sitting at my desk today when one of the guy's in my department came up to me and asked if I wanted a 1940 Ford pickup. They all know I play with old cars. The story is that its his dads and has been sitting in a storage unit that his dad wants to clear out. It has a 289 with it, Mustang II front clip and some old slot mags.

    I'll keep you all posted on how it goes. He said he doesn't think his dad wants anything for it and just wants it to goto a good home.:D

    I've got room for it over here. It's a good home. You know, if you're getting crowded and all...

    Looks like your coworker isn't the least bit into old cars. But you never know on deals like this and it's time to follow up on it. It might be easy to turn into a nice driver.

    Send it to me. Seriously a project like that would be worth quite a bit of cash over here. Easily much more expensive than the $3000 Skidmarks mentioned, probably double and then change the sign from $ to £, The last 40 pick up project I saw advertised albeit with some Street Rod parts to fit the reserve price on that unmentionable auction site was £15,000

    Ok, got more details today. It's a 41, has a boxed frame with Mustang II crossmember installed. Comes with a 302 and transmission, Ford 9" rear end. Truck was all together and running many years ago and it was taken apart and never put back together again. Body has been blasted and put in primer. The father wants $2000 for it but the son thinks that's too much. At $2000 I would probably still buy it. Will let you know.

  25. buy it now!!!!

    I bought my black one as a driver. Building another and just buying up the parts as I find them. Trying to do this so I don't have to part out the black truck. I have all of the sheet metal now. 46 cab. 39 car frame, swap meet running boards, front clip from a friend, grill off eBay and just bought a new bed. I did buy gl*** fenders to swap out on the black truck so I can keep it all metal. I will sell my driver when I get the project a little further along. Here is a link to my build;
