    The shot looks like it might have been taken near north San Diego county, not far from Ramona dragstrip. What a great model kit that would make.

    Could have been in San Diego County, or San Fernando Valley, think John lived in the Valley....the El Camino was the second push car, the first was a 54-56 Ford pickup, also painted silver and black like the dragster, I remember Winckle constantly fixing it.....Wenderski was a class act, and one of the few "never lift" drivers...
