Nitro, Rancho is looking pretty sweet! That work on the rear suspension is different. Does it have any bump stops so it won't compress the bags too much?
Other than that it is one low slung Rancho ! Oh, you said interior is in need of work. Looks like you will have some work to keep you busy.

I would have gone another direction and sold the air-bagged chassis and slid under a new chassis built with more modern non air bag suspension.

Then the box would be back and theose funky tail lights would definitely not be there. Stockers were way nicer.

Would still have been a nice low riding mild Ranchero.

One of my favorite cars also. I'm a fan of using that ABS sheeting for panels. It’s water proof and forms to most areas well. Let’s see some progress shots of the interior work.

  11. Thanks - As of now, there will be no other body mods.

  12. Thanks, Im glad you would have gone a different direction &
Im happy you dont like the tail lights.

I'm loving this, bags and all. Most that rag on bags have never driven a ride with them. Keep up the great work, then ship it across country to me in KY! :D

Thank you for showing this and posting all the pictures. I appreciate the good custom builds.... and they seem to be lacking lately. You are definately doing this one the right way (or the way I would want to do it, anyway).

Those Edsel lights look like they were made to go on those cars. I have always dug Mr Musicos (he has a new name now I think) Edsel/Ranchero.

I can see your vision and it looks like you are carrying it out well. Good on you too for getting that boy involved.

Great looking ride, the bag set up is nice,i wouldnt touch it,dont listen to people who dont know anything about air bag set ups.Tuck n roll cover will be killer on that ride.I would keep the stock head lights, they are custom out of the factory. And the tail lights are amazing.I have a 1959 issue of car craft that has 15 pages dedicated to the 57 tail light and head light restyling.Very informative issue if you need a look will send some pages to you.
