  18. This is Gene Altizer's '32 Plymouth G***er. He sold it to my good buddy Bill Kauffman who put it back on the street, but with all the g***er equipment.
    Gene then built the red Anglia that was, and still is, part of the famous S&S Racing team.

    Good info,Rich.Must have been a fun car on the street.Great hearing the background on a lot of these photos from ones who were there.

    Seems like here is where those "in the know" are!

    Friend asks,

    "Does anyone know of or have any info about a Corvair (and it's owner/driver) that made it to the final round in it's cl*** during the 1964 AHRA Winternational Drag Races in Scottdale Arizona at the Beeline Dragway. It was introduced as "The Mighty Little Corvair" from California. I think it was Corvair powered. The Crowd loved it!

    It went up against the Herrera Bros. 40 Willys G***er in the final round. the Willys took the race with an 11.96@106.13mph. There was no ET announced for the Corvair but it clocked in at 99.44 mph."

    Can anyone answer this? Thanks in advance!
