this was my 34 chevy i sold 2 years ago went 8.70 150 mph. have not had the chance to take my 32 to the track yet but i will soon

My only "HAMB friendly" car thats been to the track, My '64 Nova ran a best of 12.06 and a shade over 110 MPH on the motor in the mid 1980's. Tried a less than reputable (Magnum Plus) 100hp kit on it at the top of first gear and ran an 11.81 @ 107. Later found that I had melted the tips off of 4 spark plugs!

 

Man that 50 Fastback is getting the job done to be that deep into the 11's .What is your drivetrain combo ???

 

12.2 @116 mph. 3850 pounds and shifting gears. Drive it like I need it to make it home because it IS my ride home from the track.

 

1/8 mile 6.80 1.47 60 foot through the mufflers drove there and back 70 mile round trip

 

15.9 at 92 mph 1/4 mile stock 351 block with cam and 750 holley

Damn dude ,that mph is very impressive for a street car at that weight .Your obviously making big power .Tell me about your rearend gears ,trans ,and engine if you dont mind .Im just nosey about other peoples setups when there cars impress me ,not a loaded question here .With that mph at that weight i'd say your 56 has the capabilty of mid to low 11's easily ...

 

Didn't set any track records at Maple Grove but got a cheap thrill... 14.25 at 97mph w. street tires, no posi, and bad driver.

 

this year 10.38........It will run 9.99 sometime this Spring w/ six-two barrels......Littleman

The Truck -was a 49 chev 5 window - my dad bought it new in 49
got it when I was 16 - many changes over the years

It had a dana 60 in the front - ran a 541 bowtie block blown and injected 0n alcohol - best run was in Vegas 9.58 -1/4 - we ran C gas with the good guys - I wrecked the truck at Sacramento Raceway 6 years ago at the Governers cup - rolled it 6 times - ended up in the hospital for 3 days

Non HAMB- friendly carburetor, LOL :

 

1.6 - 60ft
8.6 on the 1/8 mile

500ci with longram intakes, stock convertor&tranny, 3.9 gears on the strip (3.23 normally)
The motor is kinda rpm-restricted with the longram intakes, 1-3/4" prim. shorty headers and non-mandrell bent 2.5" exhaustsystem.

 

9.83 on first pass before i got tossed for no cage.

street driven 4 speed

6.52 at 102.38 1/8 mile and 10.48 at 126.21 1/4 mile

 

7.00 @ 100mph 1/8 mile. Leave at an idle and short shift @ 4,500. Lots of room for improvement. Crappy driver (me).
