YUP! Been into them for a few years now. I mastered & reproduce some parts that are pretty cool. I sell stock Deuce firewalls, E & J Type 20 headlights. Guide 682-C & 682-J headlights, tiny (very realistic) skull shifters, fake & real stainless steel braided line and I'm also working on a flamed dash insert.

I too am on LSM. I think Kiwi is the one that sent me in that direction. Thanks
There is a guy on that site that does some nice rust treatments (Keith). Just like this site there is lots of talent over there on LSM & I'm happy to be part of it.

  6. Thanks. I just use diffrent paint for the weathered look, but there are products that you can buy that'll make em rusty.
theres two looks to rust, one is when a car comes from a dry area like a desert which is a lighter brown, and a darker rust look from a wetter area, which is the look i use.
its a lot of fun and splattering a little dirt from the garden around helps to.:D

  7. Im thinking i may have to get some E n J headlights off you sometime next year.
Not sure what for, but i do have some future up and coming projects.:):D

The front wheel and those disc's are just there for mock up, not sure what I will go with. This model was started about 16 years ago. It was going to be a billet wagon, but now, well it will be much cooler.
Its the only model I have left that survived loosing everything, it was at my Brother-in-laws!!

got a new/old 1.1 model A to start soon, so the scale stuff may get put on hold.

You better start a thread for the A, now thats an awesome project!!

I'd like to do one of these early 54 Vette 'coupe's', but with a Ford motor of course......

  14. The product of a twisted mind. LOL.

A huge blown cammer would be cool, or is my sick mind running away with me?

  17. I believe Jeff makes 1/8 scale cammers in resin and sells them to members of LSM.

Here's the 1/12 scale RAM AIR Cobra-Jet Mach1 kit I entered for the SMC contest... Right now I'm waiting for the paint to dry on the engine pieces before I glue it together....

Someone was asking about this kit.. The "holy grail" of 1/8 scale Monogram kits from 1963.. The Big Drag.. Here's pics I took of mine which I barely started on.. I love the chrome steelies in this kit along with the M&H Racemaster whitewall slicks.... They don't make them like this anymore... :(

Holy crap Kiwi the detailing in your work is mind blowing. The channeled roadster is mental, z'd chassis and interior are brilliant. The paint finishes on the cars are superb.

There's one of these on Ebay right now. All original and unopened. They are trying to sell it for $888.22...is that crazy or are they really that hard to find?

I remember bidding on one of those a few years back when I was collecting the 1/12 stuff. I managed to find all of the Tamiya cars, most of their bikes and that Shelby you posted earlier in the thread. I have the the first issue of that Shelby kit (GT fastback) about 90% finished.

Thanks for this thread, I had forgotten how much time I have spent building these things.

Check the prices on some of the Pocher kits, they can be pretty outrageous. I'm still saving up for the Autograph transkit for the K55 Pocher F40.

...and the time to put it together.

I have several big 32’s - extra old parts - and aftermarket parts…..someday will put some together.

    1. Will be a black roadster w 40 dash - wheel - blown ARDUN

    2. Will be a metal flake roadster channeled - hemi - moon discs w white wall slicks

    3. Will probably be a “barn find” type rusty stocker

The '71 Cobra-Jet kit has a zillion pieces... I'm working on right now assembling the chassis... I could also wire the thing up for working head and tail lights... The gas tank on this one has enough room for a couple AA batteries...
