4.375 X 4.375, makes for a nice sound.... I bet that would make some SOHC heads start to work!

I'm sure it would sound great. It would also probably twist that station wagon in half.

    That's a screamin' 351W!!! Wish I still had my '70 Cougar with a 351C.

Tim probably has the best looking Comet I've ever seen. For some reason that dark blue is perfect for me. Sorry to hear he crashed it. Is he okay?

Where will he be racing it?

P.S. I see an old CA license plate. Is the car street legal?

Hell Roy, I'll put you up in a room in the house. (Hope you like dogs!) Room for the trailer, and a keg of beer, in the heated shop. It's 21 degrees today, and windy!!
Some how, I bet SO Cal is somewhat warmer.
Your welcome out here, anytime. PS, it's only money. I figure I'd rather die in debt, so the gubmint don't get it all!

JunkYardFrog;Tim is fine, the Comet, not so much!! The Comet was street legal for a while, then it got too radical for street use.He originally built the car as a "Pro-Street' cruizer, then got carried away[sounds familiar]!! Tim races at Bakersfield[Famoso] and Sacramento mostly. He e-mailed me and said he is not sure he will be ready for the March Meet but hoping for the ANRA season opener in April at Famoso. There is a video of his crash on this thread, page 50,thread #993. ROY.

Eric;I here you on dieing in debt,I told my two sons to not expect much when I kick!!! They are good with that, said to enjoy life!!!!This season was pricey, new trailer, new[to me]truck and an engine rebuild in the Comet plus what I spent on the Comet over last winter, new clutch system, new Jerico and new roll cage!!Do I need to fight the dogs for bed space and dinner?!!! ROY.

Pleaseeee Roy, if you share your dinner, they will share there beds. Geez, us Colorado guys have some cl***.....PS, the keg is Coors Light. Seems to be one of Earl Wade's favorite flavors!!

Looking at the list of Comet upgrades, I see a small fortune going out the door.
Do you want to borrow my SOHC, to see if you like it?

All I know is if I keep buying Mercurys I'll be sleeping with the Dogs. Went and looked at another 64 Caliente yesterday. Thankfully it was too far gone or I would've had to hide it at Erics.

Looks like the Weiler Comet. Love the Vintage Decals.Really cool with an old track. Just me but between the bridges and the domes falling down up there might be safer racing here. Ha

Myron;thanks for the compliments on my Comet. The color is a little more blue than original. The Comet was used as an experiment by a high end paint shop looking to learn how to use Emron paint. It was free and that included some minor body work and a new windshield, hard to p*** up.It was done in 1976 and is showing its age! I was going to do an A/FX style street car with a 65 202 I had.
That trip got interrupted by a 71 Torino GT though. There was one on CL out in central Ne not too long ago I was going to check on - ad deleted before I got to it though.
    Perhaps another day.
