I got the history traced back to 1962. thats when Don Phillips got the coupe at the taunton mass swap meet, he owned it until he passed away in 05. thats when a body shop in woonsocket R.I. got it. the coupe sat there for a year and they give up on the it and it went to the junk yard. it was then placed on top of a box trailer which is when I saw it for the first time in sept 08. After I bought the coupe I brought it to the gathering of the faithful car show and thats when Woody Woodward told me about Don. when I removed the body from the chassie I was able to tell that at one point somebody had welded the body to the chassie too far forward. that means the engine bay was a foot long and thats when I think it was turned in to a race car. thats all I got at this time. if somebody knows more please let me know. thanks Jared
here are some new photos of the clutch and splind shaft. the clutch is A 10 inch with a Lasalle center I had custom made and the pressure plate is a stock ford. thanks for looking.
