In the article on this east coast custom it states that the color is called ***an Red,is this a factory color?Ford maybe?
I thought it was called both. 53-54 was ***ian red. In 55 it was called ***an red. 1954 paint chip I could be wrong though...
I thought this color could not be duplicated becouse one of the ingredients was band. or was this an old custom tail?
I think my 54 Buick Special was ***ian Red originally. http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...an+red&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=safari and not my buick http://gearhead.forumotion.com/rat-...z-f17/1954-buick-skylark-convertible-t905.htm
I had my 57 Ford painted ***ian red in the late 50's and saw years later that the new Volkswagons had the same color and name. Went home and get the gas flap door and checked it out . Was perfect match. TwoChops
WOW, am I delerious. I admit I don't actually read RJ, I just look at the pictures. I'm too busy reading the HAMB
Buick had two popular colors with the customizers and hot rodders, ***ian Red, as above, and Seminole Red which was a "fire engine" red.
