That car will look even better than the preview pics are indicating. I agree with those who say it will look good in almost any color combo, but nailing the exact color scheme is key. I think I might lean toward earthier shades, but with light metallic.

The only thing that bothers me is that tailfin leading off the top of the front fender sidetrim. Maybe a custom made piece with a more graceful fin.

It's cool how you take suggestions; you have great taste in all your cars.

Or maybe brighter with a subtle fade.

Or maybe a nice section job, 3" rear, 2" front.

  4. I'm not liking that one piece windshield. Yellow looks cheap. Section looks good.

Wow, fascinating story, and cool car!
There have been sooo many cool color combos posted, but this one just seems to 'fit' the car the best, IMHO.

If I could whip something like that up as a "quickie" I'd be quite content. I have always admired your talent Jeff.

  8. While I agree, I would imagine that this would present a problem with the (convertible) windshield header that Vic's have. Even If you could make everything work (windshield flange, trim, glass, drip rail) in the space allowed, I'd think that the integrity of the header would have to be compromised...

Husge improvement on a sedan/coupe when the windshield opening is raised during a chop, but may not have been doable on this one...though Rik's photoshop looks bithin' as always.

Very few cars have an absolutely perfect profile. This is one that has a perfect profile, IMHO.

  25. Man, this car certainly has the right proportions, stance, and "car sex appeal" if you will, with the wonderful heartfelt story to go with it. To say you nailed it is an understatement. As for colors, to me I like the combos that have a slight hue variation - something sultry and sexy that would define and exemplify this car's sexiness - something right out of a Victoria's secret cataloge (in keeping with the Victoria theme), what colors you think the "den of inequity" would be bathed in if you will. Skin tones come to mind for the center, satiny smooth, not shiny, and perhaps a soft mauve with some shine to it, with a hint of flake for the top and bottom. Sorry, I do not have photoshop ....
