Ice racing, Maine, approx. 1964. SAAB 850 Monte Carlo. Engine modified, tires microsiped, handbrake to each rear wheel. Rolled over at speed. Back on it's wheels and continued a class winner. Well over 100 mph on the straights. Great stuff.

Germany 1963. Winter day...snow and ice. A "friend" borrowed this Mercedes. Kinda drunk. Went up on two wheels, slid chassis first into a pole and literally bent it in half. Front and rear wheels touched. Miracle to say that all walked away from it. Actually, sorta crawled. Too drunk to walk. Probably what saved them. So, this is the altered "Mercedes-BENDS.
Oh, well, it was in great condition...before.

    Trans-Am 1972
Ran IMSA Camel GT, SCCA Trans-Am and SCCA A-Sedan. Great handling for a "truck". (smiling) Oh, the SOUND when the grid was flagged off.
    Wish I still had it.

You really need to hear one of these run. Two cycle three cylinder. Very few moving parts. Great power very light.

    Definitely from days gone by.

"Slip Stick" - Anyone that did "Weight & Balence" on aircraft can work one of those with one hand in their sleep - use to set fuel loads and cargo placement to get the correct center of gravity.
Oh and some engineers used them instead of pencils.

I can't be the only kid in the late '50s/early '60s who ate up comic
books and monster magazines. Back when we didn't have a car
yet, ate up this rag here (matter of fact, I have a complete collection!
LOL). Anybody else wanna admit to waiting for each new issue to
    come out?

Not being a dick, I really appreciate your posts, Mazooma, but that's a 57-58 Eldorado Brougham, not a 54.

Model A Kieth it's a slide rule use one in the Fire Direction Center of several different Field Artillery battalions to solve Trig problems before fire direction computers were invented. As a matter of fact one just like that. Bet you didn't know they were used for that.
