Hey Brother, You got a Gift From God, and You've been Blessed with this talent....Great Job can't wait for the final WOW Factor.
Thanks for the coments Her's a little update of the mufflers Her's the inner parts of the mufflers Next will to put shells on the inner parts /Stefan
How big of an and cap pocket is there going to be? I like the looks of these and they should sound real mellow. The shear size of them and the tube diameter should be more than enough to silence that blown flatty.. Good work as usual Stefan
Thanks for the coment The pockets is 60 mm on the side with the centre pipe and 55mm on the other side I have spotweld on of the halfs of the shells /Stefan
I am often shocked what good cars you guys in the states are parting out. My merc was a same rustbucket when started but now is a wonderfull fun i love... But we often dont find better projects here in europe! So keep going on Stefan, nice to see your work!!!
Very nice. Like I said, those are big mufflers for a flatty. Just about right for a hopped up Smallblock chev. So the flow from your blown flatty should make good use of those. Don't forget the drain hole. I would hate to see them rust from condensation forming pools settling in the bottoms. Excellently executed Stefan. You are an engineer, that is why I knew you had the bases covered.
Thanks for the coments There is little more made on the mufflers And i will not do a drain hole and they will not rust they are in made in AISI 304 Stainless Steel I have used the same model of mufflers in 20 year on my Olds Cutlass 66 with a 455" and it sound good I have paint some parts too so i can store them. /Stefan
Nice work! I thought that i'll take all the inner fender parts of my project to powdercoater. I've coated bike frame etc parts with that and its really good stuff
I should have known that they were stainless. I was fooled by the tubes appearance in the picture. Will you be posting a video of them in action? I love the sound of a good exhaust note. Great work as usual.
Thanks for the coments I can't do a video yet my olds is on winter storage and there is other cars outside it. So i can do one first in april. I shall try to rember that and do one. But if want her a sound from a exhaust i have done <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> that is from my VW type 3 vert with a type 4 engine now over to the shoebox I have paint some mor front parts The fenders is here on drying /Stefan
Very yummy sounding VW! I can't wait for the V8 sound track. Blown flatty with a Beemer trans....awesome!
shame, it would be cool a small car looking period on the outside, but hi-performance on the inside like the ford A with a cosworth bda I found once
that is why is so impressive... and cool. I dont know what kind of car i may end up with but one thing is sure once its finished ... it will be fast....... on the curves
I have paint the trunk lid I have the halogen light for faster drying the temp in the garage a only little over freezing. /Stefan
Imagine what you could get done if you lived in the Southeast USA, or Southern California? It's no wonder that hotrodding began in SoCal where you can work on your car year 'round!! I love your gumption/RÅDIGHET/resourcefulness, Stephan!!
