Thanks Tom....even being mentioned in this thread with all these bad-ass customs is an honor. And....I have a couple sets of caps that will better fit the era of my build. Those will be part of the next version of my Chevy...
Thanks JB! I love the picture of these three cars together. Do you have any other shots, maybe of the front? You guys must be like Kings driving around Sweden together!
Lonely Kings perhaps? Sorry, couldn't help it. It's your and Wolf's old club, right? Found one pic. Wolf has done some nice job on his front for this year after these pics. About time he starts working on that -51.
Great Thread, thanks J.B. love that front end shot! Sladge that green meanie is sinister lookin! Cheers all, keep 'em comin', CraigR
Paul Harper's 41 that was and old custom but he has gone through it end to end and top to bottom as it was pretty tired when he found it. MS Merc that he built for Barb. It packs a flathead. Both are pretty close to era correct.
After reading the intro to this tread, I thought that I would give it a shot with my shoebox. It is still powered by its Flathead and fordomatic trans. It was chopped 3" in the front and 4" in the rear. Saved off were the door locks and front and rear Ford badges. The interior is inspired by Larry Watson's grapevine.
Hey Tom!! We need to catch up. I will email you soon. I have been busy working on my 36 3-window. Great Thread! Thanks for starting it J.B.. Here is another photo of my 50.
Hi Kent, Hope you don't mind me chiming in with my wifes car "One Mint Julip" ? Its pretty much all 1954 style . Wish you were coming out next month. Your friend, Alex
Axel, such subtle exceptions is welcome. I sure will miss to be at the big custom gathering at GNRS. Remember that so called survivors and restored original kustoms is NOT what this thread is about. Only recent (up to about 15 years back) builds in this style, please.
Love this thread.I really appreciate the over the top East Coast style customs, but everything posted on this thread is beautiful. Thanks to all
