That's one that should be taken all apart and a fresh build started. With the quality of the construction and the shape the parts are in I wouldn't try to get it on the road as is...............to many safety factors to risk getting hurt.
First, I think you should consider a new ch***is with a Model A or '32 frame and go from there. Take lots of pictures as you dis***emble it so there is a record of how things were done "back then". Somebody already mentioned Brookville Roadster, they will have everything you need to bring the body back up to usable standards if you fail to find used ones.

"Asked the Model A expert and found out the br*** lower stantions were an early to mid 1930 feature"

According to this tip I was correct years ago when I guessed my roadster body shell was a 30. I have the br*** stanchions. I know because I broke one and repaired it a couple of years after I built the car.

I have a couple feelers out looking for doors right now. The plan at this point is to lose the frame and start fresh. I have a Model A frame I took in trade out back that I will be bringing into the garage... I might try to use some of the front and rear suspension components from the 35 ch***is. Did someone say something about it having a 32 rear crossmember? How to tell?

I don't think anybody thinks he should keep it like it is. Make it safe, but retain the home made, ingenuity flavor. The wheel bearing serving as a swivel socket for the headlight is a priceless example. In other words, don't make it look like a modern, $30,000 recreation of a 50's hot rod.

HAHA! Not a problem there - I don't have $30K to throw at it anyhow. But that bearing is the exact kind of thing I want to use on the rebuild.

It would of been interesting to be there when this car was built. The thought process was not what you call hi tech. Any idea on when it was built??

I'm still trying to track down any information about its origins.

I don't know why someone would give the thread one star. Was it something I said?

Oh Man - You might be reading my mind. It would be unusual to say the least. I was looking at photos in the Hudson Dragracers thread and observing how the built 308 was lifting the front end of those Hornets off the ground and wondering what that kind of torque would feel like in a little roadster.
Do you know if anyone has ever put a 308 in a Model A? I'm sure there will be lots of naysayers, but I think that would be cool as hell.

This masterpiece of east coast hot rodding history deserves to be restored exactly the way it was back in the day. To sully this visionary rod builders work would be a crime...:p
