Made this one for my Chrysler once. More tongue-in-cheek than anything.

You mean like your avatar wagon w/ the 20's on it?

My board was hand painted, flamed & lettered by Dennis Ricklefs.
Then some ***wipe stole it at a show. Who the **** would steal a show board?

it is a sign shop one on plastic, but I hope at least i made good color choices
made it a little smaller than the 24x36in one last year, had a hard time finding room in the display and was not wind frinendly:eek:

  12. Dean-
I just saw Manuel at Ron Foreman's Brush Off Christmas Party last Saturday. That guy doesn't age at all. His work on the California Kid is timeless. Still one of my favorite flame jobs ever.

  13. Here's a few I've done;mostly HAMB unfriendly but ya gotta eat too.The Piano Man was just finished yesterday.

Cars don't talk. Cars can't tell you who, what, where, and other info. Show cards are also neat art that show some beautiful period striping and hand lettering. They add to the atmosphere.
What really looks ridiculous is little one line snipes on threads by people who think their way is the only way.

  19. Got that right............I miss doin the car show scene....half the fun was in the display, even doing it all on a shoestring, plus it was a good way to pay respects to those friends that helped on the car

  20. I've got two, one for outside and one for indoors. The indoor one is a oak raised panel insert for a door that I had laser engraved at the local sign shop. I've gotten alot of compliments on that one. The other one I made out of an old road sign.

  21. Great sign!Never thought of laser engraving one;neat idea. You can't beat those oak door panels.I buy them at yard sales whenever I see them for really cheap money(I think the most I ever paid was $3 for one). They make great signs for either indoor or outdoor use. They are heavy enough that they won't tip over or blow away easily. Here's a couple I've used for signs.

Another great item for use as a sign is an old wooden creeper;with or without wheels.Leave them on and you can still use it as a creeper.

You sign paintin' guys are an ingenious lot, aren't you? :D The rest of us walk by this stuff every day and never see its reusability. What's next? Lettering on old thrift store suitcases?

I'll never p*** up an old busted up wooden creeper at a garage sale again!

nothing I hate worse than a show card boogering up one of my car show photos... I think people should lay them down flat on the floor rather than stand them up in my way..

"rather than stand them up in my way."

Your way? It is THEIR car. I think THEY should do what THEY want.
