Hey Bob: You have a great memory! I really liked Anderson. It's a neat track! I'll see what photos I have that I can upload. This is a really neat website!:)

Bromme's Gump car had a bunch of colors/schemes over the years. I think the restored car has the 65 colors on it. Appears it even had a soild color at some point in 64, no idea what it was though.

I recall seeing a color pic of the car (this would be 64). the front was a light blue and the stripe was red. That pic was taken at Western Speedway in Gardena.

OK this is what is going on. I am doing a 10'x13' mural for Woodland's museum. This is not a stained glass mural but one of my drawings will be blown up to size and printed on vinyl and then mounted on the wall in the museum. You will see from the photos below that the Bromme sprinter is out front and must have the right colors. If that color shot could be found that would help greatly. In Buzz Rose's book it shows Gordon Wooly at El Centro, page 148 and later with Heath page153 at Ascot and later in the year crashed by Heath now what seems to be all red as many of the Bromme cars were. The year was 1964 and I would like to use the three color paint job . What color would the Watson sprinter with Jud larson driving be. Last, any idea what colors this sign would be from Gardena (form fit Tshirt milcas)? Thanks
    Steve

Steve Bonesteel: In 1965 when Jud drove it, the Watson No. 2 was red-orange ("Mustang orange" ) with cream numbers and lettering outlined in black. Upholstery was black. Jud's helmet at that time was probably orange.

    Hey! Bob Cicconi!
Been wondering about you! Times were never better than hanging out and racing with you and "Big Lou" at Winchester, IRP, Salem, Speedrome, Anderson, etc.
You were always one of the fast guys!

    Great to hear from you!

man, those old cars had style, beautiful lines & attitude compared to modern(safer,i'll admit) sprinters & midgets that all look the same & hide the driver at work.

A question for racer5c, Racer12, or any of the other Indy based gang.

There was mention of Ron Burton earlier, but I was wondering if anyone has a current status on his brother Dale?

    Thanks

Great video, Roy. I remember that night. Saw a lot of old friends in there, too.

Saturday and Thursday night on ESPN was great back then. Just when you think they're doing something right, they stopped it. Not too many Nascar shows could compare. Maye thats why they stopped the sprints and midgets.

I haven't grown any more hair either, maybe the helmet wore it off.
